After coming with 1st Runner-Up honors in their first Top 100 try, Richmond Motorsports could hardly have asked for more—other than the Grand Prize, of course.

Alas, it wasn't meant to be—at least not this year. But don't get the wrong idea. Since opening their doors more than 16 years ago, Richmond not only has established themselves as a motorcycling "destination location," but also has developed a well-deserved reputation for being one of the top dealers in all of North America. Top 100 judges have found it easy to parrot that belief the past two years.

Richmond Motorsports' success is nothing new to the manufacturers of the motorcycles they sell or the customers who buy them. The dealership has owned a place atop Honda's sales charts in British Columbia for more than a decade, and has emerged as Ducati's #1 Canadian dealer at least five times. Add numberous Kawasaki 5 Star Awards to their tally, and it quickly becomes evident that this is indeed a "place where motorcylclists visit for the best in sales and service," according to owner Michael Eyre.

Richmond's drive to be the best led them to build a brand-new facility a few years ago. The move more than quadrupled the size of the store, as they went from a 6,000 sq./ft. building to the current 25,000 sq./ft. facility, which also includes such amenities as a 20-ft. video wall.

"Our facility allows us to give customers the best possible service in the most pleasant surrounding," explains Eyre. He is quick to draw attention to some of the store's other user-friendly features such as the drive-through service center—a favorite among watercraft owners. "Customer satisfaction has always been our top priority," he adds, "and this philosophy has enabled us to grow along with our expanding customer base."

Although the top spot has eluded them for the second straight year, Richmond Motorsports still sports a perfect Top 100 record —two wins in two tries, both in the top 10. With this dealership's collection of winning streaks, something tells us a third straight award is on the way.
